Matt and Sean on a Laptop

I took a picture of my two sons this morning, and I just have to make any kind of post today to mention it! Sorry!

It’s a photo of them two, with Matt playing around with the laptop computer, and Sean watching behind him, looking very curios as to what his big brother is doing.

I don’t have the photo on this laptop yet (yes, the same laptop that Matt was using), it’s still on the phone.. but as soon as I get it, I will upload it and post it here. That’s why I created this post, to reserve the post space for that picture.. hehehe, and also for the laptop computer harharhar

Things Fathers Should Know About Pregnancy

I was staring at the blank post text box of this blog (everything-daddy) and wondering what I could share for this week. I promised myself to update this blog at least one or two post a week just to keep it alive so Google will know that it is alive… But I couldn’t think of anything to write!

Probably because I have several other blogs that my ideas are being poured to those blogs instead of this one… “But this is your fatherhood blog, Eli”, you might ask.. well, now I also have a photo blog about my two sons FYI, and my own Daddy blog for everyday.. (for ’special’ link purposes.. ).

Discipline Your Child - When Is The Right Time?

discipline a childThat’s the thought that crossed my mind a few days back. I remembered it again today and decided to make a short post here and ask anyone who happen to visit this blog…

When is the right time to discipline or at least introduce the discipline concept to a child?

I’m not sure if “Discipline” the right word to be used for a 2 year-and-3 month old boy (if it’s not, please suggest one. :) Anyway, my little Matthew is most of the time playful and happy and laughing and smiling and (trying) to talk…

Lem me share an article I read on the web that made me think about disciplining a child.. not a baby alright?

How I Name My Boys

Late post… This was suppose to be done last week, but apparently I got all busy and all that I forgot all about it.

This post is about Janice’s Week 3 question about “Kid’s Name“, how did I coined my 2 boys’ names… And here’s the behind…

My sons’ name first:

- Stephen Matthew is the Kuya
- Sean Timothy is the Bunso

Stephen Matthew - Both names was taken from two famous people that I adore, or am a big fan of. Short answer eh?.. I coined these words ever since college and I just got use use it! It’s from my favorite writer “Stephen King” and my favorite ‘Friends’, “Matthew Perry”.

Sean Timothy - “Sean” was from John Lennon’s second son - Sean. I’m a big Beatles/John Lennon fan too, you see. I could also use “john” but….. you know. Anyway, moving on… Timothy was suppose to be Stephen, taken from his kuya’s first name.. but we decided to take another Apostle’s name and Timothy became the big winner.

There.. I did not name my kids from places, or jewelry or used any books… Just a special character - tv, book, author, biblical - :) Hope it made sense. :)

Encourage Reading

books father and sonI don’t read that often nowadays but I do read if I find time… (lately, most of the reading time I find is during the personal time at the little men’s room). I do read Beatles books and those who are written by Stephen King.. not many knows this but I have 2 Stephen King blogs/news site that I try to update as much as I can.

Anyway, encouraging your child to read more, or just even read will do very good for them, because of very obvious reasons. Who knows, they might even turn out to be great writers and publish their own book.

With today’s technology, anyone who has talent to write can publish their own books… online… I think they call it Online Publishing.

Wordclay is an example of this. Qoutes or quoting a piece I read.. ‘Wordclay is by far the easiest, fastest and most dynamic DIY self-publishing experience.’

From listing your title to choosing a book size, approving the formatted interior and designing a cover,

Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that, make reading a family activity and enjoy every bit of it.

Tips to Lessen Sibling Rivalry

matt and sean

I could have put a different title there like “Avoid Sibling Rivalry” but I thought, no one can avoid that… might as well at least lessen it.

Being a father of two boys, and not to mention the pretty tight age gap (2 years), it is inevitable that the soon-to-be two toddlers will be wanting to play the same toy at the same time or may want to watch two different channels at the same time.

Sibling Rivalry

I want my children to grow up as friends and be as close as possible… I am a strong believer that no matter how many close friends you have, the only true friend you’ll ever need is your brother/sister/sibling.

Qoutes Quoting a line from Baz Luhrmann’s “Everybody’s Free (To Wear Sunscreen)

Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future

Moving forward, here are some tips from Parentlineplus on how they think parents can do something on sibling rivalry:

Me and My Boys’ Dailies

father and sons' routinesThere’s this Question of the week feature on Nice and Amor’s Blog at Mommastuff (for sharing opinions and experiences of mommies parents and stuff), and I am very fortunate enough to get picked as one of the Moms! Can you believe that?! hehehe, just kidding..

Anyway, it’s an honor to be part of the circle of moms, great mom! And reading stuff and activities by these great parents inspire me to do the same for my two little boys.

And so, moving forward.. This week’s question:

Do you have routines for your kids? Care to share? Does it really help?

Do we have routines, the boys and I? I guess so… Great thing about my work is that I get to have 4 days off! Here’s what a typical day whenever I’m at home and not working:

This is for All Fathers And Sons!

Matt Sean and Me  Welcome Dads! In case you stumbled upon on this blog site, well let me say a something about this little sanctuary of mine. This place is all About Me and my boys… All about me, being their Dad and their friend. All about Father and Sons. Everything Daddy.

What Stuff Am I Writing Here?

Well, all sorts of stuff about me and what I do as a Dad to my sons. From simple walk at the Mall, hospital visit, sharing pictures, sharing tips, sharing activities and flaunting all those milestones that my two babies are conquering!

Meet My Two Boys

I have two little boys. First one is Matt (Stephen Matthew) and my youngest is Sean (Sean Timothy).

2 year old Matt is a very bright boy! He learned the alphabet 3 months before his 2nd birthday! As of this writing he can count up to 39! (Which 40, 50, 60 will come in easy!) He learned to count 1 through 20 couple of weeks ago, learned colors and he still keeps on learning!

His latest toy is Baby Bop (first one is Barney from Barney and Friends)and a few days back, bough him his first basket ball hoop.

Sean is my 2-month old baby boy. Sean is my proof that each of us is unique. Each of us is an individual. He was born weighing 2.7kg, and from his last checkup (with BCG/DPT vaccination) he is now over weight for his age!

Sean cries a lot which is exactly the opposite on Matt when Matthew was at his age. I guess, I have to wait till I see some of his features and probably talent.

THAT is the purpose of this blog! To serve as my journal not only for myself but for my two sons as well! This will be ‘our’ history on the making!

All About Father and Sons.
